Terms of Service

1. Description of the service

Plok is a mobile service that offers you a daily challenge and lets you record a proof of completion and share it with your friends inside the app. Plok is free and contains no in-app purchases as of today.

2. Account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete my account. Deletion is definitive after 30 days.

3. Conduct rules

When using Plok, you agree not to:

• Post illegal, hateful, threatening, harassing, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or discriminatory content.
• Post pornographic or sexually explicit content, or content involving minors inappropriately.
• Post violent or gore content, or content glorifying violence or suicide.
• Impersonate another person or organization.
• Post spam, unsolicited advertising, malicious links, or counterfeit content.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
• Use the Service to collect data on other users.
• Bypass technical security or moderation measures.

4. User content

• You retain ownership of the content you publish on Plok (proofs, comments, profile).
• By publishing this content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store it, display it to your friends within the app, and moderate it if necessary.
• This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for anonymized copies retained in proofs shared with your friends.
• You warrant that you have all rights over the content you publish and that this content does not infringe any third-party rights.

5. Moderation

• Plok has an in-app reporting system and a moderation team.
• Any reported content is reviewed. We commit to remove, within a reasonable time and no later than 24 hours for content manifestly illegal or against our rules, any reported content that breaches these terms.
• We may, at our sole discretion: remove content, temporarily or permanently suspend an account, refuse a new registration from a sanctioned user.
• You can contest a moderation decision by writing to us at legal@getplok.app.

6. Intellectual property

The Plok name, logo, visual identity, challenges, and badges are the property of the publisher. Any unauthorized reproduction is forbidden.

7. Limitation of liability

• Plok is provided "as is", without express or implied warranty of availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• We are not responsible for acts or content posted by other users.
• Our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages within the limits permitted by applicable law.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or delete an account that breaches these terms, after notice when possible.

9. Changes

These terms may evolve. We will inform you of substantial changes via the application. If you do not accept the new terms, you can delete your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
